18th Amendment Beer Cocktails

Gorge Camorra will be mixing some beer cocktails for you to try. Gorge is the local cocktail king with multiple Australian and International mixology awards under his belt. Recently opening The 18th Amendment – Geelong’s newest cocktail bar, on Little Malop Street, Gorge has put together some amazing flavours and incorporated some great beers into the mixes. These will start at $8 for a full 200ml serve.

It’s a privilege to have the Piano Bar’s Andy Pobjoy bringing you tunes from the Piano, taking your requests, come and sing along as one of Geelong’s busiest and most unique bars joins us at GABF Geelong!

Presented by Australia’s very own Beer Diva – Kirrily Waldron. These sessions will enlighten, entertain and educate… plus a few cheeky tastings at each session. Attendance is limited so first in first served so be sure to plan your day accordingly! Entry tickets are available from the Merchandise and Information desk located at the central Token Station.

Please note: Tickets for each session will be made available 30 minutes prior to its scheduled starting time.

1:00-1:45pm Beer & Cheese Please
Contrary to popular belief, beer is an incredible cheese accompaniment. The Beer Diva, will showcase a selection of stunning cheeses to a variety of handcrafted, artisan boutique beers.
2:15-3:00pm ALMA Restaurant & Barrow Boys
Jesse Hughes from the hugely successful ALMA Restaurant and Dean Romeo from Barrow Boys join forces to bring you a beer and food matching masterclass that will leave your mouth watering and taste buds craving more.
3:30-4:15pm Beer & Cheese Please
Contrary to popular belief, beer is an incredible cheese accompaniment. The Beer Diva, will showcase a selection of stunning cheeses to a variety of handcrafted, artisan boutique beers.
4:45-5:30pm Beer & Cup Cakes
Only for those who truly want to be indulged. Enjoy this decadent beer and cupcake pairing as Beer Diva & Hawkers Brewery proves that beer really is the ultimate dessert partner.

GABF Wacky Races

There are some exciting things happening on the race track! The return of the Keg Rolling will be matched with some fun beer inspired races that you the patrons can get involved in! You just need to be trackside for the chance to participate and potentially win some of the great prizes on offer;

Race 1 – 1.30pm RL Signs See the Signs 2 x tix GABF Albury plus $40 tokens Contestants run backwards in beer suits
Race 2 – 2.15pm Cryer Malt Malt Sack Race $80 tokens 8 patrons in Malt sack, dash down the track
Race 3 – 3pm Barrow Boys Push a Barrow Boy Win an afternoon for 4 with the Barrow Boys up in the big smoke, the team will take you on a tour; stopping by some of Melbourne’s great venues which are stocking their tasty Ales and Lagers. This requires a mixed team with the female contestant pushing her male counterpart/barrow down the race track
Race 4 – 3.45pm Décor Impact Costume Dash A Reserved table at GABF 2019 plus $40 tokens Patrons are invited to join in the Costume Dash down the racetrack… only one pre requisite – you need a costume!!
Race 5 – 4.30pm Balter Brewing Doing a Balter Return flight for 2 to gold coast. Brewery Tour with head brewer Scott Hargrave, including tasting paddle and Schooner of your choice. $200 bar tab that can be used on beer or merchandise. “to dance artlessly, without particular skill or grace, but usually with enjoyment.” Compititors will dance off in to 3 different sections, the number of dancers moving to each section reducing each time, until we have a 2 people dance off.
Race 6 – 5.15pm (Main race) GABF Brewer Cup Keg Roll FINAL free site at GABF 2019 In it’s 4th Year, Australia’s first and only Keg Rolling Championship returns with participating Brewers vying for the championship Title of GABF Keg Rolling Champion.
Race 7 – 6pm Cockies Beer Catch a Cockie A brewery tour followed by a gourmet lunch for 6 people, plus 4 cartons of prize winning craft beer, value $580 Catch the Cockie! The Mascot from Cockies Beer is larger than life… 20 patrons will see if they can catch the Cockie as he flies down the straight!
Race 8 – 6.30pm Yenda Yenda Obstacle Course 4 x tickets to GABF Albury 2018 An obstacle course with a difference …involves beer, water pistols and nerf guns… this will be fun!
